A Note From Michael Bain

Hi, I’m Michael. Before launching Capture Alaska, I worked as a photography guide helping more than 1,000 visitors photograph Southeast Alaska, from glaciers and humpback whales to bald eagles, bears, and some of Alaska’s most spectacular landscapes. I created this guide based on my experience seeing the struggles and successes that visitors faced during their trip. Instead of asking you to memorize camera settings, this guide focuses on practical exercises you can do ahead of time that will simulate moments you are likely to encounter during your trip. My goal is to help you arrive prepared, photograph Alaska with confidence, and return home with photographs you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Thanks for being here!
